Global Goals was started by Comic Relief founder Richard Curtis, to try and end poverty, combat climate change and fight inequality by the year 2030. They needed to engage the world’s top influencers and use their reach to send the message global, so in collaboration with Don’t Panic and Prof. Stephen Hawking we created 260 films that were sent to the planet’s most powerful movers and shakers.
Having Prof Stephen Hawking as a brand ambassador gave us a unique opportunity to shoot something with the great man. His relationship and fascination with the planet is well documented, so we thought it would be pertinent to have him in space, with an overview of the world, delivering this all important message. We had to replicate this video 260 times, in order to send out a personalised version to the individual influencers. The videos were shot, edited and distributed within a month.
The resulting press was huge with the video being shared all over the world from former US presidents, sports and film stars to heads of tech and business. The Twitter outreach gained 76m+ Impressions and was tweeted by celebrities including Richard Branson, Bill Gates, will.i.am, Mo Farah, Paloma Faith and many more.
